Submitted - All in the community is encouraged to mark their calendars for Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 for the Live Oak Garden Club’s Fall Bazaar.  This event will be held from 8 a.m. To 2 p.m. at the clubhouse and will feature a HUGE plant sale and Indoor Yard Sale, a bake sale, pecan sale and much more.  The plant sale features an array of trees, shrubs, perennials and hard-to-find herbs and medicinal plants.  Learn what to plant this time of year!  The Bazaar will take place at the clubhouse, located right between the hospital and Coliseum at 1300 11th St. SW.

In addition to supporting numerous projects here in the community, Bazaar proceeds help fund the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs youth projects.  Florida Garden Clubs have sent thousands of youths from first through sixth grades to Camp Wekiva for an educational nature experience.  Live Oak Garden Club has sponsored many local highschoolers to SEEK, Saving Earth’s Environment Through Knowledge, an environmental conference for high school students.  Also, the club contributes to many local groups, such as ARC, Sheriffs Boys Rancy, 4H, and Hearthstone Botanical Gardents.  Scholarships are available for students entering a Florida college or university, including all levels of coursework meeting the Garden Club’s objectives.
