Live Oak, Fla., – Palms Medical Group of Live Oak held a grand opening last Thursday to celebrate the completion of their expansion at 211 Ranchera Street. Suwannee County Chamber and other city officials, Live Oak Mayor Frank Davis and others attended the celebration.

Anita Rembert said in 2013 the Suwannee County Health Department approached Palms and asked if they would come to Live Oak to offer primary care. So they moved into the health department. In 2017 they purchased the property they are on now and built the original facility.

Thanks to the patients in the community, they have had tremendous growth and expansion. So today the facility is there for patients of all ages and is now 14,000 square feet, with 28 exam rooms, a lab and an in-house pharmacy. The new addition gives them more room to accommodate the growth in their patient volume and the tools necessary to advance the level of care for their patients. She said this office was designed with their patients in mind. They now offer primary care, pharmacy and lab services all in one location.

Stacey Stephenson took everyone on a tour and said they have recently recruited three additional providers with one starting in August, one in September and one in November. So they will have eight providers by the end of the year.

“We want to say thank you to the patients who put their trust in Palms to care for their families and themselves, with special thanks to their facilities team and staff,” said Rembert.
