In Loving Memory

Mark W. Stevenson, 60, of Live Oak, Florida, formerly of East Tawas  and Hale, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2020, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, from a brief illness.

     Mark was born January 1, 1960, in Bay City, Michigan to the late William and Dolores (Stasik) Stevenson. He married Tami Parent on July 7, 1994.

     Mark was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church in Jasper, Florida, where he played the bass guitar during worship services. He was an avid musician and artist throughout his life and enjoyed drawing, sign painting, playing bass guitar, guitar, drums and harmonica. He was a Master Gardner through the UF/IFAS extension and was a native plant enthusiast.

     Mark attended college in Ann Arbor, Michigan for commercial art where he learned to hone his talents toward the advertising industry. He worked for the Iosco County News-Herald in East Tawas, Michigan as a layout specialist in the early 1990’s and was instrumental in the creation and publication of a North Florida newspaper, the Suwannee Valley Times, until his death.

     Mark is survived by wife, Tami; daughter, Gabrielle and grandson, Wyatt; nieces and nephews and close friends.

     Mark was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Paula Bourdow.

     A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2020, celebrating Mark’s life at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Fellowship Church, located at 5544 US Highway 129, Jasper, Florida 32052.
