Student leaders named to FCSAA 2025-26 All-Academic team

Good grades are impressive. Good grades while helping lead the student body? Now that deserves a little extra credit. Three North Florida College students have managed to keep their noses in the books and their hands in campus life, earning statewide recognition for proving that leadership and academics make a pretty smart pair.
In a press release last week, NFC announced they were named to the Florida College System Activities Association 2025-26 All-Academic Team, recognizing their commitment to academic excellence while actively serving as student leaders at NFC.
Lillian Clay, Benjamin Collazo and Jeremiah Perez, all members of NFC Student Government, earned the statewide academic distinction.
According to the release, the FCSAA All-Academic Team recognizes students participating in FCSAA programs who achieved a minimum 3.30 GPA on a 4.00 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. Across the Florida College System, 1,399 students earned the distinction this year.
For Clay, Collazo and Perez, the recognition highlights the balance between academic achievement and active involvement in campus life. Through Student Government, each has contributed to the NFC community while maintaining the academic standards required for statewide recognition.
“Lillian, Benjamin and Jeremiah represent exactly what we hope to see in our student leaders,” said Melanie Morgan, NFC Director of Student and Community Engagement. “They have chosen to be actively involved in their college experience, to serve their fellow students and to take their academics seriously. We are incredibly proud to see their hard work recognized at the state level.”
Student Government at NFC provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, represent the student body and play an active role in shaping the campus experience. The recognition of all three students through FCSAA demonstrates that leadership and academic success can go hand in hand.
FCSAA All-Academic Team certificates are being presented to recognized students through the coaches and advisors who nominated them.
