Work begins on U.S. 129 / I-10 Interchange

Live Oak - FDOT Resurfacing work on U.S. 129 (State Road 51) from north of U.S. 90 (State Road 10) to south of I-10 (State Road 8), and interchange operational improvements on U.S. 129 at I-10 in Suwannee County began this week.
The projects consist of milling and resurfacing, base work, shoulder treatment, curb and gutter, drainage improvements, signalization, signing and pavement markings, sidewalks/bicycle paths, barrier walls, and other incidental construction.
Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. was chosen to complete the $23 million dollar projects, estimated to be completed in winter 2027, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. No lane closures will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, a separate resurfacing project begins this week on U.S. 129 from north of I-10 to the Hamilton County line in Suwannee County. The project includes milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, highway signing, and other incidental construction.
Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. was also chosen to complete the $5.65 million dollar project, estimated to be completed in summer 2026, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. Work is expected to occur daily from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. No lane closures will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers will experience daytime lane closures for work from 58th Street traveling northbound and no lane closures will be permitted from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
